bite my tongue
last night before i went to bed, i snapped awake and bit the tip of my tongue. aside from the taste of iron in the morning, i'm fine. i did forget my ID badge for work, but that's all right since the security guard knows me by now.
well, my group of friends checked out "Gauntlet Games," the newest installment of failed RPG stores in the lincoln area. i did my part and bought something for the hell of it- two miniatures, one is a tavern wench which i'll have fun painting (she sort of looks like Christina Aguilera) and a priestess reading from a book.
hm... oh yeah, i was having dinner with my best friend jon and his wife amber last night. amber related how the toddlers at the daycare she worked at were real good for a visiting santa claus- only seven or so cried. she also said something profound, which got me thinking; they also were teaching them "fear strangers" and "don't talk to strangers"
jeez, michael moore was right in "Bowling for Columbine"- we are conditioned for paranoia and fear. no one cares about helping their neighbor because they're afraid their neighbor is going to off them or kidnap them or some other crazy stuff. do yourself a favor, talk to a stranger, smile at a stranger and help a stranger. you'll make the world a better place, which isn't all that hard at the moment.
